RS police nab alleged traffickers

SARAJEVO, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) -- Republika Srpska police searched 22 locations Monday (June 30th) in a mass raid against drugs, weapons and human trafficking. Police in the town of Trebinja mentioned several arrests but did not elaborate, except to say that a parallel raid was under way in the Herzeg-Neretva canton.

In other news, a land mine killed two men Sunday as they chopped wood about 120km north of Sarajevo. Since fighting ended in the 1990s, there have been 1,500 such land mine explosions, resulting in 400 deaths. (RTRS, Fena, AP - 30/06/08)
