ATHENS, Greece -- An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale shook the island of Crete on Thursday (June 12th). The epicentre was in the Zakrou region, about 385km southeast of Athens. There were no reports of injuries or damage. Seismologists said the quake had no relation to Sunday's 6.5 quake in southwestern Greece that killed two people and injured more than 200.
