Croatia hopes Ireland's rejection of Lisbon Treaty won't affect EU enlargement

ZAGREB, Croatia -- The government issued a statement on Saturday (June 14th) expressing hope that Ireland's rejection of the Lisbon Treaty will not affect Zagreb's hopes of becoming the 28th EU member. The government believes that the EU will find a way out of the situation. President Stjepan Mesic and Croatian Foreign Minister Gordan Jandrokovic said nothing could slow down Zagreb's EU path.
