Greek media stage strike

ATHENS, Greece -- Journalists are staging a three-hour strike Thursday (July 2nd) over the closure of one of the biggest newspapers in the country, Eleftheros Typos, and radio station City. All TV channels, radio and internet news websites have joined the action, organised by the biggest media trade union, The Athens Union of Journalists or (ESIEA). . The two media outlets are being closed due to losses amid the global economic crisis. (Eleftheros Typos, Focus, Makfax - 02/07/09)
